Room alarm clocks and lamps – Room alarm clocks and lamps brings together the clocks, radio alarms, bedside and desk lamps and small desk items placed in guest rooms. Choice is governed by ease of operation for a guest arriving late at night, the presence of USB or mains charging points, display brightness and dimming, and whether the design fits the lighting scheme already in the room.
When requesting a quotation, state the number of rooms, whether charging outputs are required and any restriction on cable routing at the bedside. Power supply, connection types, dimensions, materials and light source details are listed on each product page.
Room alarm clocks and lamps: procurement considerations
- Guest operability: A clock or lamp that needs instructions will generate calls to reception; single-button operation is the practical benchmark.
- Charging: Integrated USB outputs remove the need for extra adaptors, but check output ratings against current guest devices.
- Display brightness: Dimmable or auto-dimming displays prevent complaints about light in darkened rooms.
- Cabling: Bedside positions rarely have convenient sockets; cable length and routing decide whether the item can be installed neatly.
Frequently asked questions about this category
Are radio alarm clocks still worth placing?
Many properties now favour simple clocks with charging outputs, since guests rely on their own devices for audio and for alarms.
What light source is used in the lamps?
Current models are predominantly LED, with the colour temperature and output stated for each product so it can be matched to the room scheme.
