XXL stanchions – The xXL stanchions category offers barrier solutions for queue management, entry points, events and temporary space division. The length of the belt or rope, the base of the post, the connection directions, the total weight and the storage requirement determine how flexibly the system can be used.
The required quantity is best calculated from a floor plan or a measured route, allowing for gates, turns and spare units.

XXL stanchions: procurement considerations
- Route and span: calculate the number of posts from the actual belt or rope length and the route.
- Stability: the weight, diameter and non-slip finish of the base should match the traffic.
- Connection: check the compatibility of the cassette, rope end, wall receiver and sign holder.
Frequently asked questions about this category
How do you calculate the quantity of barriers needed?
Measure the total length of the route, the turns and the opening points, then calculate with the usable span of the chosen element, plus a reserve.
When is a wall-mounted barrier the better choice?
At a fixed point where a passage has to be closed off periodically and storing or placing a floor-standing post would be disruptive.
